Interfacial Tension Test (mN/m)

It is a test carried out by measuring the boundary strength between oil and water surfaces. It measures the relationship between the force (cohesion) that draws oil molecules to each other and the force that attracts each other to oil-water molecules (adhesion). When the cohesive force is greater than the bond strength, the interfacial tension is also greater.
This test measures the presence of contamination and oxidation products sensitively. The high values found in the new oils indicate the absence of pollution in the oil, while a low value indicates contamination.
