IEC61850 Control and Protection Panels

Among the firsts belong to KESIR's on the market, IEC61850-based Control and Protection Panels have been applied by KESIR for domestic private power plants and abroad before and have made a rapid entry into the Turkish market with the new TEIAS automation system specifications. The control and protection systems in the classic transmission substations (154-380kV) were made by means of separate panels and all the interlock circuits are hardware. This system causes large number of boards and the large amount of board internal wiring . In the new systems, the protection and control system will be on the same panel, single panel will be made per the feeder so that the filling of the panel will be avoided and the number of panels will decrease and the installed system will occupy less space.

Engineering and project work and panel manufacturing for 154kV Arapgir Substation (Malatya) panels, which will be the first example of this system for TEİAŞ air insulated swithcyard, were made by us.
